Welcome to thetreasuretrench.co.uk
About
The Treasure Trench offers an ever-changing selection of vintage badges, antique photographs, ephemera, posters and unusual collectables. Based in Oxfordshire, we have been selling online since 2004, with free UK delivery on every order.
We spend hours every week (and would happily spend even more if we could) wandering around car boots, antique fairs, flea markets and auction houses searching for items that we think are interesting. Many of the items we have found over the past few years are, or soon will be, available in our shop. While there is no real theme to the items, it is just what we like, we do seem to be drawn to vintage badges, small collectables, ephemera, old toys and games.
Coming Soon/Latest Finds

Obtained directly from the artist by the original owner when she worked in India in the late 1920s and early 1930s. During her time in India the original owner spent a lot of time at Santiniketan and knew Rabindranath Tagore, Nandalal Bose, Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi well. I believe the Lithos, titled Scenes of a Santiniketan Festival were hand done by Bose and given or sold to the original owner.

1929 Santiniketan Founders Day Invite - obtained by the original owner whilst she was working in India in the late 1920s and early 1930s. The original owner was a close acquaintance of Rabindranath Tagore and other key people around the school at Shantiniketan.

1940s/50s Greek Mythology Sketch (Penthesilea) - found inside the cover of a 1940s/50s Paris holiday photograph album belonging to a top London Art Dealer of the day. Sketch has hand written notes in German across the bottom and on the reverse.

Antique Asian Silver Bowl with repoussé Dragon and Buddha decoration.
